  • Fucking up Beauty

I met Oy of Cascades 2 year ago, took her to Koh Samui for a week. I have a few hundred pics of her. She was stunning, nearly everything perfect, feminine, perfect breasts, body, face...the whole package.

Oy now has added silicon to the hips, silicon to the forehead, cheeks, chin, and in my opinion, looks bloody god-awful now.

It saddens me to see these beautiful girls get caught up in 'silicon-obsession'. There are so many examples of this.

I wonder what the psychology is behind it all. Why can't they see their own beauty, as is, and get such bad advice? Because, I believe, many are 'advised' by friends to do this, do that.

It's a damn shame. An epidemic of cosmetic surgery for no real reason and there's no cure in sight...

When we were up in Herself's home town last week we met a group of 5 ladyboys at a festival.
They were asking her about operations etc. Apparently some of the questions were about chin and lip implants.
I asked Herself what was their reasoning and all she could tell me was they wanted to look more beautiful.

None of them needed any such work.

I remember a girl who called herself 'A' who featured heavily on another website.
At 18 she had looks to die for.  By the time she was 22 her face looked like a clown mask.

I used to think it was a personal view, and for many that may be true.

However, I've met more than a few girls now who get things done because of their friends egging them on. And more often than not, the friends have a view of beauty that is nowhere near to what we think.

Case in point, Stogie will appreciate. I sponsored Kui for Miss Alcatraz. She is naturally beautiful. Her lunatic room-mate convinced her to get chin and cheek injections, and I literally didn't recognize her when I saw her next time; they were bloody awful looking, and thankfully, temporary.

Since then, I've been asking a bit, and have found a lot of cases where it's the room-mate, or bar-mate, or friend that tells them they need a, b, c, to look 'really beautiful'.

Slightly off-topic but whats with these sponsorships for the likes of Miss Alcazar or Miss Tiffany - is it only me or does anyone else think the whole thing is a total fix from start to finish anyway?

There is a disorder called body dismorphic, the person will see one slight flaw in themselves that otheirs may not even see a small scar on the nose, or they think their hair is brittle and un sightly when it is beatiful. This can go on and on.
These people no matter how much positive feed back just donot buy it.

i dont think its a disorder, its just the way they are all going...a kinda of status quo.
for example take the ladies at Guess bar, one had nose job... well the others will follow...one had boobs job....the other will follow....its tipical of the thai culture, they just do what the group (tribe) is doing.

I am going through this shite with the wife now. She was always drop dead gorgeous and a head turner but that is not enough for her. She thinks that to remain beautiful she has to follow the lead and bad advice given to her by other LB'S who are not even near our home. She started with Botox injections to rid herself of imagined lines around her eyes and in her forehead. When I had to return to the California for some work she had silicone injections done. I try to tell her that she does not need this at this time in her life but I'm afraid that my words are falling on deaf ears. Trying to tell her about the potential dangers of using silicon does nothing to change her mind. About the only thing positive for now is that she has decided that she is very beautiful again and not shy to go outside. All this aggreviation because of Thai TV commercials for beauty products and treatments and the game of oneupmanship LB'S like to play with each other. I am not against her wanting to be beautiful but Jesus Christ she is only 24 and has a long way to go before she really needs to do soemthing like this.

Where is she getting the money for these injections? I know they aren't that expensive but you need to keep her on a tighter leash. If any wife/gf of mine had operations without my consultation and approval that would be her out the door. And why is a girl living in the boonies with her husband so concerned about her appearance to others? Worse still - why is she even in any kind of contact with hookers from Bangkok? You need to get this girl sorted and back on track, mate.

(PogueMahone @ Apr. 23 2007,03:24) All this aggreviation because of Thai TV commercials for beauty products and treatments
Herself has travelled to the UK an Europe and has started to wiseup about TV advertising.

As she comes from deep into Issan farming country she is unfashionably brown.
Or what we would think of it as beautiful golden brown  -  and no tan lines

She used to go out and buy whitening cream by the bucket.  I took the piss out of her about it.
I issued her a challenge when she first came to the UK.  'If you can find whitening cream in Boots in the UK I will give you 5000 Baht'
I have never paid up on that one.  I don't actually remember when she stopped buying that stuff.
Now she buys vitamin creams instead to improve her skin

Sometime ago got a free chin implant from a 'friend' in a 'beauty clinic'.  When I saw her a week later I said what happened to your chin.
She said I fell over.  She later admitted it was a silicone implant and agreed it looked awful.
It cost about 8000 Baht to have the 'free' implant removed. Told her she should have got her 'friend' to pay for it
Her chin has never gone completely back to normal but I guess only her and I can spot the difference.

She now realises that I am right that she is beautiful  -  even without makeup which she uses much less of now and she certainly does not need any facial surgery.
I think that seeing how western women really look -  ie. not as on the TV  -  helped to change her mind too.

Mardhi - it costs a girl about 15,000 - 20,000 to enter one of these contests. They need at least 2 dresses and a bathing suit (depending on the competition). The dresses are about 5,000 to RENT. Shoes to match. Then a personal makeup artist (maybe 1,500 / day), some jewelry, contest entrance at maybe 3,000, odds & sods. I've sponsored 2 now, and was cheap on the first, and regreted it. If you're trying to win a beauty contest, you don't want the girl stressing over 1,000 baht for the nicer shoes, or salon. I would say 15,000 does it, and 20,000 is comfortable.

For the silicon -- as per one of my previous posts. Any idea how much it is to fix a fuck-up? Ae, my friend, got 'bad' silicon in her hips. 100,000 to fix it, if she wants to fix it !!!! I imagine it is a terrible operation. I have no idea how they do it, but somehow they've got to suck out the silicon which is randomly displaced all over the place.

                          It's really insane.

For 'getting control of the gal', I sympathize with Pogue. You certainly can 'control' anyone, and they can certainly leave you. So there is always a balance of bending on some things regrettably, unless you totally don't care about the person and are willing to dump her, which usually isn't the case in marriage.

To respond to Stogie's querys in order asked. We have a budget established for the home and its needs. She gets a set amount each month on the 1st. and it is up to her how it will be spent. There are some fixed costs of course, electric, UBC, land line phone and internet access, Gray Water pickup, propane and delivered water. The food and anything else is related to how much we both indulge. With the rest she is free to do with what she wants. She gives money to her Mama and helps her younger sisters in school. If she wants cloths she buys herself and if she wants to have these injections then she is free to do so from the money that she saves by sticking to the monthly budget. Up to her, she is smart enough to know how to save here and there for what she wants. No problems so far, knock on wood. Please do not refer to Surin as the Boonies, far from it, it is a lovely place away from the hype and rip off of the tourist towns. Where she lives has absolutely no bearing on her or any other lady or Lb from wanting to look their best when they go outside. As an LB she is well aware that Thai people spot her in a second and usually have some side comment. For that reason and others she wants to look beautiful, works for me. She has no physical contact with her friends from her former bar life. They only talk on the telephone and no one has come from Bangkok to vistit with the exception of the wedding. On our infrequent trips to Bangkok she wants nothing to do with the bar scene, she does not want to relive that past and I support that decision fully. I hope that I have cleared up some questions. As with all relationships, it is a work in progress. Two steps forward, one step backward sometimes. If you don't have a pretty good idea of what a person is made of after knowing them and being with them for three years something is wrong with you.

Well it's not just the lady boys. My girl friend on this last trip says something about a boob job. I ask her why yours are good enough for me and besides because of nursing kids they are painful to the touch so very little play time on those boys.
She says not for play just for look. I says what is the point of that end of conv ersation.
The Thais love to look good!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Afriend wife who moved to the states was pissed because she couldn't wear sexy clothes in the winter.
