I would guess most of us have jobs whereby, if our employers and co-workers knew our LB fetish, that would be the end of employment.

There will of course be those of you that spew the same old nonsense of "...no that's not ture in the 21st century...". Thank-you very much, but I do know my employer and co-workers.

This of course results in split personalities. The "I'm a businessman, macho, beer drinking, like ladies, forward jokes on ladies in bikinis, etc.." ... and the after hours LB lover.

For me, this has become increasingly hard to do both physically (my new employer has 700 employees in Bangkok; how can I avoid them all, all the time?), and psychologically (for example, telling May to leave the house if I have guests over).

What's you're feelings on this and does it become increasingly worse over time; at least the psychological part?

I just say the first thing that comes to mind and usually end up contradicting myself at some point.

I'm glad I don't have to do this cloak and dagger stuff though.

As for the split personality, it is certainly hard. I think the best thing is to expand your friends beyond just macho/straight, and LBs. If you are known as having gay friends, too, then I doubt anyone should be able to snigger or care. For instance, when anyone knows me for long, they know of at least 2 or 3 very good friends of mine who are gay. In some parts of some Western societies, that's nothing special, but in much of the US it is considered quite unusual. So what. I also use the opportunity to explain the genetic nature of being gay.

After that, explaining LBs is a pretty minor step.

If you have to explain all about LBs from square one, then you're the one dealing with ignorant friends. If my friends are ignorant of the biological basis of homosexuality, I explain that first. LBs can come later.

There seems to be a need for some people to be in everyones face about their life style. I am a firm believer in secrets, and I believe we should not expose all about ourselves.
Some will say I am a cop out but this goes back to personal experiences dealing with my spiritual beliefs, which some would list below loving ladyboys.
But how you deal with it is a personal issue that we each have to face and decide what is best for us.

Interesting: I have to travel a fair bit for work and have used the services of GG escorts in several countries. Now I would seek out the local LBs.

In both instances I have regarded this as my private business and not discussed it with colleagues at work. I have no idea how my employer would react and self preservation makes me keep it to myself. As far as anyone in my immediate circle of friends and family knows, I€™m the same straight dude I€™ve always been.
I like GGs, and only discovered my attraction to ladyboys about two years ago, besides, the only ladyboys here in SoCal that I know of or have ever met are hookers. I€™m not going to go telling everyone about my experiences with hookers, whether they are ladyboys or GGs.
As has also been mentioned by others, I get a thrill from it being secret.
Maybe I€™m a serious closet case, but it works for me, for now. If by some twist of fate I was to move to Thailand and if I were to establish a LTR with a ladyboy, (not likely) then I suppose I€™d have to re-evaluate the situation.

Not difficult for me NOW because my ladyboy activities are in   and my work is in  

I try to downplay the sex angle of my trips by talking about beaches and temples but I suppose my
co-workers aren't stupid and can figure out I'm having sex with locals.  But I'm well liked at work and don't exhibit creepy behavior so it's all OK.

I'm hoping that when I move to Thailand I can be open about my life.  But in certain jobs I'd be judged by being with a young ladyboy and one that's not a uni grad.

Just curious Zig, would it be OK at work if you had a relationship with a gay boy in early 20's?  How about a gg in her early 20's?

In Thailand if you are working here you should divorce your work and your personal life completely.

Thais judge entirely on appearances and you'd be a fool to let them know anything about your life outside the office even if you were shacked up with a female your own age.

Certainly if you were to take a position of authority then this applies even more so.

Let your colleagues guess about what you do, what you like and even how old you are. Once you start becoming familiar to them you'll lose any edge you had over them. They are nosey and will ask you all kinds of questions... avoid answering them and you'll last a lot longer.

When I was teaching I never dated a student and NEVER EVER went to their bars and clubs and end of course 'get togethers.'

The shallow way that almost all Thais lead their lives means you have to protect your own by making sure that there is absolutely nothing about you they can point to and not like.
