(rxpharm @ Dec. 25 2007,18:43) One of the other "reasonable" moderators is no longer a moderator. I am not sure of the reason why, but I have my suspicions.  If the tone of the forum continues on like this, I think there will be one less moderator as well.
I picture you saying this with hands on hips.

    What is a "reasonable" moderator?

You're a good moderator. I think it requires more of a heart than a big cephallus.

(Fred_Nguyen @ Dec. 25 2007,22:50) But I concede that really don't know how to define or explain the mind.
Not surprising since its one of the hardest problems , probably the hardest problem, to be solved. The mind -body problem. Its more likely that the mind is just an emergent property of the brain... they cannot be seperated otherwise there would be no cause and effect

getting back to Dr Bailey who was the original subject of the thread it would be interesting to know if anyone had actually read his book. His claim is that male erotic fascination leads men to cross the divide. Sounds like a good Pattaya poolside read

Bailey also flirted sexually ( it is suggested) with some of his subjects and so one wonders if Baileys studies had an ulterior motive .

i think this topic and the discussions it's provoked illustrates well the fascination so many ppl hold re transgenderism, not just why we (the transgendered) "do it", but maybe more appropriately for this crowd (the "trans-lovers"), why you're so "into it".

when the word "science" popped up in the original article of reference, it appeared quite clear to me that it is indeed the "mysteries" of gender that keeps many of us here so hooked. the almost constant bewilderment and surprise we experience in our discordant and confronting lives, is as they say, "like a drug" (i'm quoting kylie minogue to give this a touch of pink feathers).
it's just Suzy, some kinda old CD in Sydney. hey, at least i don't charge u when i spooge your face.

This has the potential to be even more interesting as there is a sub-group of admirers: women who are attracted to ladyboys (I mean they are sexually tunred on by them and seek them out for sex).

As for male admirers the vast majority had a childhood experience where they were forced to wear women's clothes. This association with shock/excitement and a clash of male/female clothing taboo creates an intense interest in ladyboys. The intensity of arousal has been reported to be so great some people shook at simply seeing a ladyboy.
My views may well be self-discrediting

Have you been reading up sites about urban myths?

From the reading I have done, there seem to be many theories and a lot of inconclusive studies attempting to explain the third gender. It is indeed an interesting topic. Anyone have any links to studies done on us....those who are attracted to the transgendered?
