Leah True in MIQ 2006

For those who are from UK, channel 4 sponsored and followed Leah True when she entered the Miss International Queen 2006 contest in Pattaya.

These videos are interesting as the contrast between the Asian ts and non-Asian really stand out. The winner was Erica Andrews from the USA, but of Mexican heritage.

Channel 4 changed the name of the contest to Mr/Miss for probably for publicity reasons.

Ms. Egypt looks kinda like j.lo   and i felt sad for leah's costume but ms. korea deserves it.

I actually went to that show, it lasted over 4 hours due to the TV schedule and commercial breaks I was bored stiff and it put me off those shity ladyboy cabarets for ever.
Later on some of the contestants turned up in Jenny Star Bar.

I can see how that would put you off the shows! I was there for the talent contest, but had to fly out the next day to go back to work.

Some more background about Darlene she used to have up on her personal ad - she claims to be of Pakistani (mom) and Saudi (father) heritage so that goes a long way to explain the problems she has with family acceptance.

Pentire - just the cabaret show itself is ok - only about 1 hr, the contests really take time. Miss Tiffany Contest is about 2 hours long.

There was a similar documentary on More4 (UK) this week from the True Stroeis Doc team, 'Tears, Tiaras and Transsexuals'.

It followed the contestants entering the first World's Most Beautiful Transsexual Pegeant, held in Las Vegas. It's sure to be repeated again in the coming weeks and can be viewed on line.

I watched this and was quite disappointed. The thing that stuck out most for me was the title " worlds most beautiful transexual." Truth is, not a single one of the contestants could hold a candle to a huge number of the LB's we all know and love in LOS.

Ironically, at the end of the show one of the contestants was interviewed and hinted she didn't win because all the judges were racist and bigots. Err, sorry darling, you didn't win because you're a fat ugly drag queen.

I agree, the title was misleading as teh quality wasn't the highest, judging from the ts we all see and know around the world..

It was an interesting doc but at 2 hours it was a bit too long to stomach, all their stories seem to be the same, and it all got a bit bitchy in the end
