From News, Views and Ladyboys.
Lorren welcome to the Forums, there are a few posts in Academia that talk about this. Here's a link to one: Breast implants
Please have a look at the forum rules in my sig links below.
As for Thai plastic surgeons being better than Filipino Plastic Surgeons, I am not sure if someone can give a definite answer about that.

Hey Lorren,
I heard that after you get them done they are rock hard and need to be massaged very thoroughly on an almost hourly basis. I'll be around BKK in December and would be more than happy to help you out.I'm a rough-ridin', hootin' and hollerin', ladyboy lovin' cowboy! Bang bang yer dead!!!

quality depends on the surgeon and not so much which country. of course u could argue that surgeons in certain countries are better than others - but that does not help you if your particular one is not good or has a bad day..
might be good to go by recommendations - definitely dont go for the cheapest and the most expensive does not mean its the bets either..
Important to ask for what if you are not happy or have complications- will they correct for free... in that case you want to do this in a place you have easily access to - at least for the first 6-12 months..
by the way - the massaging is only called for after 6 weeks... before that you have to wear the rubber-band over your breast to make sure they stay where they belong and do not come up to your neck..omosh

My friend has had them done for 4 months and she still massages them, or gets me to do it, regularly. According to her (I'm no doctor) but you have to do it for several months, although I suppose the frequency you need to do it goes down quite a bit.I'm a rough-ridin', hootin' and hollerin', ladyboy lovin' cowboy!  But remember a lot of girls get bad boob jobs; make sure the guy is reputable [of course] and try and find one who has 0nline before and after shots of his clients.Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

please....would appreciate all the infos and help I can get, called Yanhee hospital though my plan is months from now,,,just asked about how big does 500cc look like,,
wanted to know about pre-op and post-op instructions.....read something about rubber bands or the bras that breast feeding moms use,,,what are they for,,,,I know that the hospital will tell me what to do before and after the surgery but what about that rubber band, massaging thing you have to do, don't think that doctors would instruct their patients with those kind of thing.......

Hi Lorren,
I have paid for several tit jobs in my happy life, (and enjoy the results of all.)
I have paid for some in the Philippines and some in Thailand.
Here is what I know:
1. Cheaper in Thailand. Plastic Surgery holidays are now big business, and thailand does more breast augmentations in a day than anywhere else in the world. Including the USA. That speaks alot for the quality too, given how ANAL westerners are about hygiene, safe travel etc. My flatmate from Australia had them done in BKK and was most happy.
2. I have seen post-surgery complications several times with jobs done in Manila. (Talk to Fiona from Cebu. she is on this site somewhere. She had hers done in Manila and suffered infections for weeks until they were removed. You DO NOT NEED THIS! The scar tissue will be there unless surgically removed.
3. Scars. Sorry, Thai doctors seem neater. Most Filipina LB's have big scars under their breasts. you do not need this. THai Doctors seem to leave less scaring, or perhaps its that they prefer to go via the armpit.
I know you are a Filipina but in honesty, find a nice man to fly you to Thailand and do it safely and get the result you want.
Cheers babe and good luck.f0xxee

And let me add this to Lorren ...limit yourself to the breast area ONLY. I know Filipinas are very much tempted in having their bums augmented...bad ideaDo only what you think it's good for you, and not what others think should be good for you!

Hi Foxxee,
If that's you in your avatar the I would say that you must be really happy with those babies, they look gorgeous girl! and about the scars and infections, those are the things I would want to avoid specially that my time to do anything after the surgery will be limited because of work,, I was suppose to get my breasts done this coming December but have to wait until April next year because there isn't enough time because we are visiting the PI first, so I have decided to just move the operation in April(actually that was my bf's suggestion), to go to BKK on a different trip and yes a very good man is going with me, have some questions thought,,,
1) is 5 days of stay in BKK enough for the surgery?
2) how long should I stay in the hospital?
3) do you have any advice about what to do about the post-operative care?
actually I have lots of things to learn about the surgery and that's one of the reasons why I've agreed with my bf to just do it in April...
Thanks alot girl,,,hear from you soon!
cheers
to Looker: no plans on "improving" my bums though, but why is it a bad idea to have an augmentation in that area?

Lorren, f0xee is a guy and has sponsored the breast implants of a few of his favourite ladies.
Some of the clinics offer this as day surgery, such as Pratunam Polyclinic. The ones who cater to foreigners would recommend you stay 1 or 2 nights to make sure there are no complications. You will probably be in quite a bit of pain several days after surgery - especially if you want the big size you mentioned (500 cc). Really think this over, bigger is not necessarily better, and as you get older you are at much higher risk of back problems. Better to get a size that suits your frame. Thai surgeons will generally recommend a reasonable size, but of course patients can demand bigger.
The clinic will give specific directions about post op care - but as many have mentioned regular massage is critical for the breasts to stay soft and in the right position. Most Thai drs. will use the axillary route (under the armpits), so if you want 500 cc breasts the scar will be bigger and you will also be more sore - possibly longer recovery time.
One bit of advice is to take the pain relief medication regularly for the first 3 days after surgery. For instance if the directions are every 8 hours as needed for pain, take it every 8 hours and it will help give better pain relief and possibly faster healing.
As for hip/butt augmentation - this is almost always done with silicone injections - which are dangerous and often shift over time - which is why it is not recommended.
Good luck!
