Thank you very much Stogie and Naang Faa. I really appreciate your support..and it's great to be back in such a great group.
Ziggy gave me some invaluable advice last year and went to see Dr Thep at the Pratunam Polyclinic.
I was very pleased with his service and i have asked him several times if he can find out about having bigger implants, but he isn't the quickest at replying to emails...so I thought I'd ask on here.
I'm fairly sure that there must be someone in Bangkok who does larger custom made silicon implants. I will be very very grateful if anyone can help.
Thank you all for being simply wonderful
Chrissy

Chrissy, it is highly unlikely that the Thai doctors have that size available. I recall the largest implants I heard of for a Thai was 800 - 900 cc. As you can imagine the Thai ts do not usually go for implants that large. 1200 cc or larger is unlikely to be carried by the Thai plastic surgeons. Implants are ordered from the company that produces them - so you are more likely to find that size implant in the UK - where the doctors have easy access to the companies.
One possibility may be to buy the implants in the UK and take them with you to Thailand if you prefer a Thai surgeon to do the operation. This is assuming you will find a surgeon willing to change your current ones (which look plenty fine) to the larger size you want.
There are saline implants which can be varied in size by way of using valves and pumping more saline into them until the desired size is obtained. I don't think they have these in Thailand, but they are more common in the USA and Europe.
Good luck!

Thank you for that. Yes, you're quite right, the largest easily available silicon implants are 800cc.
If i understood him correctly Dr Thep said that there is a company in Thailand that manufacture implants and do make larger sizes-1000cc and 1200cc.
Unfortunately, he is a little slow at responding to emails (probably because he is so busy at the clinic) and I don't want to keep pestering him, which is why I've posted here to ask if anyone has any information that might help me.
Thank you again,

alan1chef, did you check this post? Boob Jobs, drs, numbers?
With regard to cost, it averages around 40,000 Baht or so. Thai plastic surgeons prefer using the axillary (under the armpit) method for insertion of the implants. However, for those who may want revisions (removal and changing implants) - the inframammary (under the breast route) must be used.

We had a couple of girls who up-graded last year (nothing too large,350cc i think)
but they went axillary route again..looked painful afterwards with big staples under
the pits..I don't know what the scars look like but i will check later when they come
home..

thanks for the update - using the axillary route for revisions is impressive if the results are good - much more difficult for better placement etc. with this route for a revision, and also removal of the old implants.
A testament to the skills of Thai plastic surgeons!

Hi Rxpharm,
To be honest, neither of them are happy with the results, they both used the
same surgeon,,forgot who it was now..
One of the girls it was her 4th attempt to get it right..the other, although far better
than the previous ones, thinks one is higher than the other..can't notice myself but
last night she say she will do again sometime in the near future...
I used Dr Grechaart at Yanhee 80,000bht but totally perfect..I would recommend him
to anyone..

(alan1chef @ Feb. 09 2008,18:28) I have started to research the cost of implants for a friend of mine who lives in the Philippines...what is the average cost of the operation? Can they insert the implants through the armpits now instead of under the breast?
He is very through, his English is very good and everything went fine.
I had 500cc implants inserted under the breast. very little scarring and healed very quickly.
About 18 months later, last July, I went to Dr Thep at the Pratunam Polyclinic to go larger. I had 800cc implants inserted through my armpits. The service is very basic compared with Dr Pitchet but a lot cheaper (around 40,000 baht) and a lot of Thai girls use him so that must be the best recomendation!
Please ask me if I can help you in any other way Alan.

(stogie bear @ Feb. 09 2008,18:21) At the risk of veering slightly off topic can you (Naaaang Faa) tell us how you eventually decided on this particular Doctor...
I took the advice of the "Queen"we have
here in our group, everyone she knows who have used him
have been more than happy with the results..
To be honest, she is responsible for everything did,
advised on what bits to alter and which is ok..I personally wouldn't have a clue..
Because there are so many of us and they all made mistakes along the way,i was able to avoid the mishaps and got everything right first time..
Except for Dr Suporn who did my SRS and contoured my
forehead (that hurt like hell) i've never used the same
surgeon twice, weather expensive or suspiciously cheap
always used the best guy for the job..
