On 8 Hotel is on the corner of Soi 8 and Sukhumvit. Nice new hotel with excellent service and escort friendly. Only $46.
I like that it's on a street with an excellent Monsoon Restaurant om the Adelphi Suites Hotel that serves all 3 meals everyday. Buffet breakfast at 7 AM for B300. Lots of bars there's one very expensive and fancy Thai restaurant Kinnaree. Dress nice.
Lots of very nice condo complexes with guards in the front. Wouldn't mind living in them as they have pretty little 6-passenger shuttles to ferry residents to the main Sukhumvit Street.
The best thing is like about On 8 is that the Skytrain is right outside the back door through the Indian tailor's shop (there's several in the area). Just exit the door and there's the escalator that takes you up to the second floor Skytrain ticket booth. You can take the train eastward about 2 stops and you're at Asoke. You can enter the Terminal 21 megastore on the second floor directly without going downstairs to the noisy street. Terminal 21 has a money changer kiosk at the bottom floor.
Dislikable features are the room is kinda dark and no remote control for the AC. Bathroom is very bright and good for shooting photos. Breakfast is for the birds so go to the Monsoon. Nana Plaza is only 2 blocks away going west. Soi Cowboy is right across the street from Terminal 21. The Asoke intersection is not for crossing. Use the underground tunnel. Funny they wand everybody but ignore me. The best thing I like about Soi Cowboy is the 8 and 10 PM shows. Once saw a totally nude show with one underage girl right in front of me. Must have been 15. You can tell. The bars with the girls just shuffling back and forth sideways bored me. So look for the shows. Haven't checked out the Cockatoo Bar with LB's. Might be some good lookers now. Changes every year.
