I've read tons now on the Hijra of India.
Most recognize both Muslim and Hindu gods / traditions, but it is said they were more respected in ancient times by the Muslims; often as eunuchs, holders of the city 'purse' (money), or in government.
My next reading is on religion and where LBs are recognized, noted, nor not, in each of Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism and Christianity.
Anyone have any good knowledge or anecdotes on that?
I do know for example, the Buddha's right-hand man was a LB, and that LBs are recognized in the Buddhist canon (Bible) as per a previous post.
In Hinduism, there are many asexual / transsexual Gods, like Shiva, Goddess Bata, and others.
